Senior Cook – University of Nairobi

Job summary/Descriptions

Applicants shall be holders of a KCSE Certificate or its equivalent, a certificate in Food Production or equivalent qualifications from a recognized learning Institution. They should have five (5) years’ experience as a Cook grade IV (4) or Assistant Senior Cook, grade IV (4).

Duties and responsibilities:

The successful candidate will among other assignments be expected to:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes,
  • Ensure that all food is of high quality and meets University standards,
  • Follow recipes and cooking techniques to ensure consistency,
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen,
  • Ensure that all equipment is in good working order and report any issues to management,
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure that all orders are prepared and served in a timely manner and Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
